'80s Hottie of the Week, Sheena Easton

Sunday April 9, 2006
f78018osjq7.jpg If you were remotely adolescent, pubescent or at all hormonal in the mid-'80s, you surely have images from several of Sheena Easton's music videos burned into the part of your brain reserved for sex glands. The one I've never quite forgotten is, I believe, the clip for "The Lover in Me" a splendid collection of visuals during which Ms. Easton prances around in a red dress and continuously gives the camera a series of scorching glances.

Anyway, note that I didn't specify gender in my introductory sentence, and that's because this woman was (and is currently) an unbelievably gorgeous woman who simply must have an equally strong visual impact on both sexes.

Nonetheless, I'll avoid spending the rest of this time describing how I sat on my parents' couch dumbfounded in front of Easton's video image, because as an artist she proved to be a master of several disparate pop styles (red dress) and an expressive singer (pouty look). So there. See, I can control myself.

(1) Robert Sanchez says:

I have to agree, Sheena Easton is a very hot and sexy lady. She was not a popular as say Madonna, but in terms of pop music Sheena Easton is tops and was just as consistant as the other 80’s ladies.
Peace!
