'80s Hottie of the Week, Gregory Abbott
It's that time of the week again, time for me to drool over a guy. So give me a second so I can work myself up to it.OK, I'm ready now. I've always been a huge fan of Gregory Abbott's biggest hit, 1986's "Shake You Down." I hear it now and find it pretty swoon-worthy, so I'm just glad I've usually not had images in front of me when I've heard it in the past. I mean, that would really be embarrassing in public, especially if a fainting couch weren't immediately available.
Abbott is the beneficiary of some pretty good genes, it seems, the son of a Venezuelan mother and a father hailing from the Caribbean island of Antigua. Anyway, if "Shake You Down" can bring out the soul in me, it must be pretty special, even if Abbott looked like a deformed toad. Luckily, he doesn't.
