Possible Reunion of the Police Would Be an Event Actually Worthy of Fans' Concert Dollars
If there's any '80s music reunion that fans have actually clamored for instead of just shrugging and possibly attending anyway, this would be the one. Think of it: the three original members of one of the unquestioned greatest bands in rock history putting aside their considerable differences and embarking on a world tour that fans have dreamed about for 20 years. Sounds a lot better, if you ask me, than all of the partial-lineup snoozefests or original lineup who-cares reunions we've suffered over the last few years. Just because I'm feeling charitable today, I won't name names there. These are the thoughts I'm having as I entertain the rumors of an impending Police reunion swirling around currently on news services and music fans' tongues. While the more than 60 tour dates mentioned may never come to pass (I'm a natural skeptic), it's likely that something exciting will happen this year to commemorate the band's 30th anniversary. Whatever happens, at least it's a rumor that's worthy of being discussed about a reunion tour actually worthy of the hype and inflated prices sure to be associated with it.
